Coir Brick

Each coir brick is roughly the same dimensions as a standard house brick. When soaked in water, the compressed coco coir brick will swell to triple its original volume, yielding approximately 9 litres of coir.

Coir is particularly well-suited for mushroom cultivation. It can serve as the foundation for homemade mushroom substrate and is used by us in our range of “Cylocybe Special” Grow Kits and provided with our MonoBox Grow Kit.

The material is known by various names, so you may see it referred to as coco, coco coir, coco peat, coir fibre, coconut husks or coconut fibre within some tutorials.
