Our brand new InocuBox™ Grow Kit is the latest all-in-one mushroom grow kit and successor to our wildy popular Cylocybe Special MycoBox Grow Kit.

Ever since the launch of the Cylocybe Special MycoBox Grow Kit in 2019, we knew the issues: the injection ports were flawless, but there were just too many of them… With every injection, the customer would be at higher risk of contaminating the MycoBox. The other big issue was slow colonisation times, with many customers reporting 8-12+ weeks for colonisation… Just way too long. But the customers loved them regardless, so we kept making them.

So after many years of tinkering with the design and getting nowhere, we finally nailed it and came up with a kit which solves every issue the MycoBox had.

Introducing the all-new Cyspec InocuBox™ Grow Kit

Cyspec is an improved substrate and the InocuBox™ has just a single injection-port to provide a quicker and cleaner way to inoculate from a syringe.

With blazing fast colonisation times, mycelium will hammer through the substrate at least twice the pace compared to our previous MycoBox, so you can grow mushrooms in half the time!

If you’re looking for the easiest, fastest, all-in-one grow kit which is superior and cleaner than Unicorn bags which also supports just about any species of non-wood loving mushroom species you can throw at it, this is the kit for you. We couldn’t be more proud of the Cyspec InocuBox™ Grow Kit and we are super excited for you all to try it out.

But, all-in-one grow kits aren’t for everyone. If you’re looking for a more hands-on approach to growing mushrooms, using classic techniques such as mixing colonised spawn with substrate or you’re looking for much bigger yields, we couldn’t recommend enough our most popular MonoBox Grow Kit as it’s designed for both enthusiastic beginners and the experienced alike.

What’s Included with our Cyspec InocuBox™ Grow Kit

• 1 x 1600mL HEPA-filtered Inject-thru™ InocuBox (Dimensions: L18 x W12 x H12 cm)
• Sterile Substrate (Ingredients: Organic Wheat Grain, Coffee, Coir, Lime, Gypsum, Vermiculite)
• 1 x XXL HEPA-filtered Grow Tent (Dimensions: L47cm x H57cm)
• 1 x 3000mL Perlite
• 2 x Alcohol Wipes, 1 x 18G 40mm Needles, 2 x Hand Wipes, 1 x Face Mask
• 1 x Sterile Gloves (Optional but we would highly recommend)

What’s Not Included

• A 3ml gourmet mushroom spore or liquid culture syringe is required.

Additional Advice

Colonisation of the Cyspec InocuBox™ Grow Kit typically takes:

• 2-4 weeks at 26℃

Please note that cooler temperatures will result in slower growth.

Inoculation Steps

1. Slide out the InocuBox to expose the center injection port.
2. Use the green wipe to thoroughly clean the injection port and slide back into the bag for a few seconds to dry.
3. Prepare your gourmet spore or liquid culture syringe by attaching the needle.
4. Slide the InocuBox out of the bag and immediately inject 3ml of solution through the rubber port.
5. Slide the InocuBox back into the ziplock bag and seal (leave a little air inside the bag). The aim is to colonise the InocuBox to completion within the bag, to avoid grubby hands and dusty air getting in lid rims / seals / filter strips and ruining your grow!
6. Shake the InocuBox to distribute those gourmet spores or LC solution all into the substrate. The more thorough the shake, the faster the colonisation will be.
7. Place into in a warm location until fully colonised. No more than 26C. NEVER use heatmats – they will overheat the bottom of the substrate and ruin your kit!!
8. After you see a good amount of mycelium, open the bag and allow the air to be replaced with fresher air, then seal again.
9. You will never need to shake the kit again, but if you really want to then it can sometimes help distribute mycelium further and speed it up (but can also cause it to stall growth!).
10. The guide will show you all the steps until your first and second and third flushes of delicious mushrooms.
