Exotic/Rare Microscopy Spores
Spores from a variety of less commonly found species, available as prints, swabs and syringes.
Prints will be on foil or petri dish. Depending on the species, prints may be small and may not be dense – that’s nature!
Exotic Magic Mushroom Spores for Microscopy
For the connoisseurs of microscopy, our collection of rare and exotic, highly sought-after magic mushroom spores from around the world are available as high-quality spore prints, swabs and 3ml spore syringes.
How Clean are the Spores?
Spores sourced from mushrooms grown in a lab are of course the cleanest, with wild, outdoor-sourced specimens most likely to include a hitchhiker or two for fun viewing through your microscope!
Lab Cultivated Species
Panaeolus Cyanescens MIB: A cross of three panaeolus cyanescens varieties, PHV, BVI and Nec’D, created by the Magic Myco Family.
Panaeolus Cyanescens TTBVI: A cup-winning variety, originally foraged beneath a Tamarind Tree in the British Virgin Islands.
Psilocybe Mexicana Jalisco: One of the earliest mushroom species used in mazateca rituals and a particularly fascinating species, as the fruiting body can form as both sclerotia (truffles) and mushrooms, depending on the fruiting conditions. Do not attempt cultivation of microscopy spores however, this info is provided solely as an interesting fact about the species.
Psilocybe Tampanensis: Another particularly fascinating species, as the fruiting body can form as both sclerotia (truffles) and mushrooms, depending on the fruiting conditions. Do not attempt cultivation of microscopy spores however, this info is provided solely as an interesting fact about the species.
Species Picked Outdoors
Psilocybe Semilanceata (Liberty Cap): The UK’s most common native psychoactive mushroom… it takes a hardy one to thrive in our climate!
Psilocybe Subaeruginosa: A species found in Australasia and New Zealand. These spores are taken from mushrooms in a domesticated outdoor grow.
Psilocybe Cyanescens (Wavy Cap): A much-loved species, and another which can be found growing in the wilds of the UK.
Psilocybe Azurescens: Widely known to be the most potent “magic” mushroom on Earth. They are beautiful specimens to look at through the microscope. Never attempt cultivation of microscopy spores.
Gymnopilus Luteofolius: These spores are a beautiful, bright rusty orange colour – a unique addition for your microscopy collection.
Product Disclaimer
As opposed to our contamination warranty on our Psilocybe cubensis products, we will not guarantee a replacement for any contamination reports on these exotic spore products. It is assumed that experienced microscopists will expect and therefore know how to work with samples which could contain the odd unruly hitchhiker.
Legal Disclaimer
While the purchase of spores from these particular species of mushrooms is legal in most countries throughout the world, such as in the United Kingdom, Europe, and the USA (for the purpose of microscopy study and taxonomic research), it is your responsibility to double-check the laws of your own jurisdiction. Furthermore, even if you come from a country where it is legal to cultivate these species of mushrooms, we will not engage in any discussion of their cultivation because we sell these solely for microscopy purposes.
We produce our microscopy spore products using mushroom spore prints sourced from accredited, legal cultivation labs outside of the UK.
