These ports are made from butyl rubber, making them durable, autoclavable, and pressure cooker safe. They are ideal for adding to liquid culture (LC) and spawn jar lids to provide an easy and cleaner method of inoculation.

Self-Healing Injection Ports

These are not the same as the smaller, single use injection ports we use on our SpawnTubs and Grow Kit products. These are multi-use ports as they are much thicker and larger.

Advice

Drilling a 10mm hole and squeezing through the 12mm rubber insert from this injection port will result in a perfect tight fit without using glue.

Injection ports cannot be re-used indefinitely but will generally withstand at least 6 puncture wounds with a thick gauged needle.

A thinner 21G needle will give you more life out of the port (around 12 punctures).
