70% Isopropyl Alcohol – 1L HDPE Bottle

Lab‑grade 70 % v/v isopropyl alcohol (IPA) for rapid disinfection of gloves, tools and work surfaces in mushroom cultivation. Supplied in a translucent HDPE bottle with a standard screw cap.

Why 70% IPA?

• Fast‑acting against bacteria and most enveloped viruses – ideal for quick surface prep.
• 30% deionised water improves penetration and evaporation balance; leaves no residue.
• Non‑corrosive to stainless tools and safe on common SAB and flow‑hood plastics.
• Not sporicidal: for killing mould or bacterial spores, look at the other products we have available (they are much more powerful).

• 1L volume – refills a 500 mL trigger sprayer twice.
• Durable HDPE bottle – chemical‑resistant and easy to squeeze for decanting.
• Standard screw cap – quickly opens and reseals; no fragile flip‑tops.

Typical Uses

• Mist gloves, jar lids and injection ports immediately before inoculation.
• Wipe SABS, flow‑hood pre‑filter grills and stainless worktops.
• Sanitise still‑air box interiors and small tools between transfers (be careful flame sterilising tools after sanitising with IPA – highly flammable!).

Directions

1. Transfer to a labelled spray bottle or apply with lint‑free wipes.
2. Saturate the surface until visibly wet.
3. Allow to air‑dry for at least 30 seconds; no rinse needed.

Storage & Safety

• Highly flammable—keep away from flames, sparks and heat sources.
• Store tightly closed in a cool, well‑ventilated area and out of direct sunlight.
• External use only; avoid eye contact and inhaling concentrated vapours.
• Dispose of empty bottle in accordance with local regulations.
• Remember – sanitisation is not the same as sterilising. Needles should never be sanitised.
