12mL Glass Vials with Self‑Healing Injection Port (Non‑Sterile)

Clear borosilicate vials pre‑fitted with a grey butyl rubber stopper. Ideal for preparing and storing liquid culture, glycerine cryo stocks or spore solutions—simply sterilise, inoculate and draw off with a syringe.

• Self‑healing injection port — reseals even after 8-9 needle punctures.

• Supplied non‑sterile — rinse, assemble and pressure‑sterilise just before use.

How to Sterilise

1. Wash vials, stoppers and caps in hot, soapy water; rinse thoroughly.
2. Fill or partially fill vials with desired medium (leave ≥ 20 % head‑space).
3. Screw lid loosely.
4. Sterilise 20 minutes at 121 °C / 15 psi. Allow to cool to room temperature before screwing lid tightly.

Typical Uses

• Liquid culture storage and distribution.
• Spore archive vials (with sterile distilled water + 2 % glycerine).
• Cryogenic stocks (add 10 % glycerine, freeze at −20 °C or −80 °C).
• Antibiotic or enzyme solution aliquots for lab work.

Sold in sets of 10 vials, each with pre‑slotted stopper and aluminium crimp cap.

Tips

• Flame or alcohol‑wipe the septum before every needle entry.
• Use 18–21 G needles; finer gauges may bend, larger gauges shorten septum life.
• Label immediately with date, strain and medium to avoid mix‑ups.
