Cancellations, Replacements, Refunds and Returns

1. Right to Cancel (Cooling-Off Period)

You can cancel your order within 14 days from the day you receive it. To cancel, please contact us. If you do cancel, you’ll need to cover the return postage and make sure the items are sent back within 14 calendar days of letting us know. We’ll process your refund after we receive the return. This right does not apply to spore products or Mushroom Grow Kits, and may not apply to other items listed as excluded in our full T&Cs.

2. Replacements

Our replacement policies depend on the product. The summaries below should help you find what applies to your order.

Mushroom Grow Kits

Grow kits are non-replaceable and non-refundable once used. If you notice an issue before use, please contact us immediately.

We do not offer refunds on grow kits. In exceptional circumstances, we may offer a replacement at our discretion. If your kit arrives damaged or not as ordered, please see Section 3 and contact us within 72 hours of delivery.

SporeKitâ„¢ (purchased individually)

A standalone SporeKit™ is guaranteed to arrive sterile. If it turns up damaged or contaminated, we’ll replace it as long as you contact us before it has been used. Once a SporeKit™ has been injected with a gourmet spore solution, it is considered used and isn’t eligible for a replacement.

Liquid Culture Syringes

Liquid culture syringes are for gourmet mushroom cultivation, and we guarantee viability and authenticity for that purpose. If you believe a liquid culture syringe doesn’t meet that standard, you can request a replacement at our discretion. Please let us know within 3 weeks (21 days) of the dispatch date. Refunds are not offered for liquid culture syringes.

Psilocybe cubensis Spores (Syringes, Prints, Swabs, Vials)

These are sold for microscopy and genetic preservation only, and we guarantee authenticity and viability for that purpose. If you believe a Psilocybe cubensis spore product doesn’t meet that standard, you can request a replacement at our discretion. Please let us know within 6 weeks (42 days) of the dispatch date. Refunds are not offered for spore products.

All Other Spore Products

These are sold for microscopy and genetic preservation only. Many of these species are sourced from the wild, unlike species such as Psilocybe cubensis which are produced in labs and tend to be much cleaner. Wild-sourced spores can contain natural hitchhikers (extra microbes). Therefore we offer no replacements, no refunds, and no returns on these items.

If your parcel arrives damaged or the items are not as ordered, please see Section 3 and contact us within 72 hours of delivery.

CyLab

A CyLab is guaranteed to arrive unbroken. During manufacturing, small surface marks or hairline cracks can occur around drill holes. These are cosmetic only and do not affect performance.

If cracks are excessive, making the unit unfit for purpose, and it has not been used, we’ll put it right. We can replace the affected part, or offer a partial refund to cover you replacing that part where applicable. If you prefer, we can cover the return and issue a full refund. Please check your CyLab on arrival and contact us with a couple of photos before using it so we can help quickly.

3. Refunds for Damaged or Incorrect Goods

We’ll accept a return and issue a full refund for eligible non-excluded items if the goods arrive damaged in transit or are clearly different from what you ordered. Please tell us within 72 hours of receiving the parcel so we can sort it quickly.

Spore products and Mushroom Grow Kits are not refundable. Where there is an issue with these items, we handle it by replacement or resend at our discretion as outlined in Section 2. Please do not return spore products or grow kits unless we explicitly ask you to.

4. How Returns and Replacements Work

Before sending anything back, please email us with your order number and a short description of the issue. Wait for explicit approval from Cylocybe so we can confirm the next steps. Returns and replacements are considered at our discretion.

For change-of-mind cancellations, you cover the cost of return postage as set out in Section 1. In all other cases, the customer generally pays any shipping costs unless we confirm otherwise by email. If an item arrives damaged or is not as ordered as described in Section 3, we will confirm in our approval email whether a prepaid label will be provided or whether reasonable return costs will be reimbursed.

Refunds or replacements are processed after we receive and inspect the returned goods using the method we confirmed with you.

5. Non-Refundable Items

We do not offer refunds on any spore products (including Psilocybe cubensis syringes, prints, swabs and vials, and all other spore products) or on Mushroom Grow Kits. For safety and quality reasons, we do not accept returns of spore products, and grow kits are perishable and cannot be resold.

Liquid Culture syringes are handled via replacement only within 3 weeks (21 days) of dispatch at our discretion, as described in Section 2. Refunds are not offered for LC syringes.

The following are also not eligible for a refund or replacement unless they arrive faulty as described in Section 3: any item with a broken or removed seal, and any personalised, bespoke, or made-to-order product.
